Original era manufacture. A very well made brass pole top, honoring the British "Old Contemptibles Association" of WWI Veterans. These were men who served in France from August 5, to November 22 1914. Being referred to by Kaiser Wilhelm as England's contemptible little army. The slur became a name of pride to soldiers, The Old Contemptibles. Measures 4.5 x 6 inches.
