Original era manufacture. A fine quality example of a full dress tunic for an officer (1st lieutenant) in the Royal Artillery. Dark blue wool body with red wool collar and piping. King's Crown buttons throughout, with beautiful gold wire shoulder straps with two rank stars, and elaborate cuff decoration. The interior of the coat displays a quilted silk lining with pocket. Stitched into the collar is a name tag which reads; J. Leple or Lepla Esq. R.A.. The tunic is bright and clean displaying minimal wear and use. Size about a 36.
