Original era manufacture. A very clean example of this handsome Royal Navy officers dirk.Polished steel blade measuring 18 inches in length with etched panels on each side,  The blade is quite clean, minor areas of corrosion spotting, mostly on the reverse side. Nicely detailed gilded brass guard, backstrap and pommel, with a fishskin grip bound with triple strand wire.Black bodied scabbard with sound stitching. Gilded brass throat and chape with the owners initials P.D.H. engraved on the surface. Correct style current replacement knot on the guard.
