Original era manufacture. British South Africa Company Medal, Rhodesia reverse, older ribbon. Named on the edge to 25682 Lce. Corpl. W. Friend. 43. Co. R.E..The medal is quite bright and clean looking with nice detail to the obverse and verso, few edge knocks.Only 42 medals were awarded to the Royal Engineers. Comes with copied medal rolls and his attestation papers in 1891. Sold by DNW Auctions in June 2008, lot 105, for 410.00 pounds.
