Original period manufacture. Full size silver medal presented to troops participating in the actions to reconquer the Dongola Province in the Sudan. These medals were presented by the Khediviate of Egypt, with the owners name appearing on the edge.In this instance, it is named to 5815, Cpl. G. England, 5th Fus.rs. The medal has a dark silver patina, with a nice old ribbon, which someone has written 1896 on in ink.
