Original era manufacture. Doeskin wool scarlet tunic, original gold wire trim, with yellow wool facings. As worn by a company grade officer in the years 1868-1871. The coat is basically sound, in a very small size but retaining good color throughout. All of the front buttons have been replaced with costume house flat faced brass buttons, the tail buttons are missing save for one, and it displays the regimental number 29. The thin white shoulder knots have been removed, which resulted in the tearing of the fabric on the left shoulder. The padded silk lining is tattered but much of it remains, the collar lining has been removed, however the morroccan leather waist band remains.
