Original era manufacture. The polished steel blade measures 32 inches in length, with etched panels on each side. The blade runs fairly straight and true with a very slight bend near the point. The blade finish is very bright with with a frosted finish to the interior of the etched panels and clear makers name on the ricasso; J&B Pearse & Co, Floral Street, London. There are a few very shallow nicks in the edge, more felt than seen.Dark steel patina finish to the guard, backstrap and pommel; fishskin wrapped grip bound with triple strand wire, with some of the wire strand missing.Matching steel patina finish to the scabbard with two suspension rings.
