Original era manufacture. Silver medal for service in Afghanistan 1878-1880, with original ribbon and clasp for Ahmed Khel. Named on the edge to 1262 Pte J. Casey, 59th Foot. Nice old ribbon. I spent a good bit of time trying to find him on the medal rolls to no avail, perhaps he served under an assumed name. Or, perhaps I am not asking the Wizard the correct questions. Decent old medal whatever the case.
