Original era manufacture. A nice set of period medals awarded to 10857 Sapper D. Elliott, Royal Engineers. The set consists of his named Egypt Campaign medal, 1882 dated reverse with clasp Tel El-Kebir (named 10857 Sapr.D. Elliott C. TP. RE), hisLong Service & Good Conduct Medal (named 10857 Sapper D. Elliott R.E.) and his 1882 date Turkish Khedive Star, unnamed as issued. The medals show typical contact marks and edge bumping, but certainly haven't been overlypecked to a fare-thee-well by the arms of the Khedive Star. A nice bonus are the original ribbons, and a Victorian Era three place suspension bar, no mounting pin on the reverse. On his attestation paperwork, Sapper Elliott is credited with all three medals, with comments of his participation atthe action at Kassasin and assault at Tel El-Kebir. Sold with copies of the medal rolls and service papers.
