Original era manufacture. New Zealand 1863 - 1864 campaign medal and original ribbon. Named on the edge to 166 J. NELLIGAN, 40th Regt. Irish born, Private 166 John Nelligan, served for over 5 years in Australia and New Zealand, with an additional 6 years in India.  His conduct upon discharge was listed as Very Good.
