Original era manufacture. Fourth Royal Jersey 1855 pattern Shako. Black wool felt body, with silver brocade trim. Original helmet plate on the front, with a red wool pompom above. Velvet backed linked german silver chinstrap. Intact sweatband with a red silk lining. The lining in the crown displays wear, otherwise a very fine example.
