Original era manufacture. A blue wool cloth covered helmet with a cork body, silver alloy fittings throughout, to include the large helmet plate with Queen's crown.Tan cloth lining with a label from Dolan & Co. of London, intact brown leather sweatband showing scuffing and dryness from age. Green paper covered undersides to the visors; the front showing some flaking from handling. The spike will not tighten down, it is of matching material and patina but might be an old replacement. The body is sound, not crushed or broken, with its velvet backed, silver alloy chinstrap present. Typical age and wear for a pre-1902 helmet.
