Original era manufacture. A well made edged weapon with a 34.5 inch blade and steel basket hilt. Pressed leather grips with a checkered design, secured by 5 steel rivets. The blade is very clean and is marked for disposal with two Broad Arrow proofs and the year '98. Numerous regimental markings can be seen on the inside curve of the guard. Attached to the guard is what appears to be an original issue sword knot. Correct scabbard which also has an array of unit markings on the throat. Electro-pencil markings of 3-Z-N on both the scabbard and blade. Very clean condition overall.
