Original era manufacture. Wooden match holder made from the decking of RMS Mauretania when she was scrapped in 1934. It stands 3.5 inches in height with a brass plaque at the base. When launched in 1906 she was the largest moving object ever built. During WWI she served as a troopship. Once part of the Jane A. Kimball collection of Trench Art.
