Original era manufacture. Polished steel blade measuring 33 inch blade, with deep etching on each side of the blade, proclaiming the battle honors of the famed Coldstream Guards. Wilkinson makers name on the ricasso, with a serial number on the spine, 50902, which places its year of manufacture 1914-16. On the obverse of the blade is an open space which displays the name of Gerald L. Walter. Large steel basket-style guard decorated with the badge of the Coldstream Guards. Fishskin wrapped grip, which is bound with triple strand wire. Brown leather covered wooden scabbard, showing typical dings and dents to the leather, with a repair to the surface about midway down the length.
