British WWI Brodie Helmet, Royal Marines Insignia

Original era manufacture. A British made Brodie pattern helmet complete with its original liner and chinstrap. The chinstrap was split at the center so as to be able to fit around the wearers chin. Affixed to the front of the helmet is a brass Royal Marines cap badge which has been soldered on. Looks to have been done quite a while ago, nothing recent. The liner and chinstrap show typical age and wear, but no damage or missing pieces. The crown of the helmet shows typical denting and finish wear, but no corrosion damage. Interesting helmet from an old California collection.
