Original era manufacture. An early pattern knife adopted around 1910, with stag grips which were replaced around 1932 by aluminum grips. Maker marked on the ricasso of the blade Walker & Hall Sheffield. Dark steel patina to the blade and marlin spike but no deep corrosion or pitting. No damage to the stag grips, copper lanyard loop at the pommel. The springs are very strong so it takes some effort to open the thing, watch your fingernails.
