Original era manufacture. This is a cool old contraption, basically a box shaped, wooden constructed trench scope which is hinged in the center, using two opposing mirrors for sighting.When fully extended it measures 25.5 inches in length, and as I said, hinged at the center to fold up to half its length for ease in transport. Most of the original finish remains on the box, the mirrors are clear, and when viewed through, give a small, rectangular shaped field of vision. Nice large 1917 dated makers tag on one side. No real issues to report, the latch which holds the two sections together when extended no longer does its job, and the original canvas transport case is a little tired, beyond that, just normal age and wear.
