Original era manufacture. Issued to one Alfred Osgodby who served with the 13 Bn of the Essex Regt. during the Great War. He enlisted in 1915 and evidently was captured on April 4th 1917 and held in a camp near Freidrichsfeld Germany. Included with the book are several documents showing pay receipts at time of discharge, reserve transfer and a rather thin document officially stamped as a Repatriated Prisoner of War. Shows normal handling and wear.
