Original period manufacture. Linen-backed, folding paper map of the Western Front in Belgium, Zillebeke Sector corrected to1-4-1917. German trenches are shown in red, Allied in blue. This area experienced terrible fighting in the summer of 1917 during the Third Battle of Ypres. The map measures roughly 26 x 35 inches. Some of the folds have torn, but not the segments themselves. When properly mounted and framed this map would be a tremendous Western Front display piece.
