Original era manufacture. An interesting example, US made bayonet (likely Remington production) with the tall guard and muzzle ring and grooved wooden grips with a white center stripe. Parkerized full length blade with a two inch beveled upper cutting edge. The scabbard has a round frog stud and a straight top to the chape, the body appears to be almost pigskin dyed deep black. Rare and mysterious, I'm sure someone knows the answer.
