Original era manufacture. Standard pattern Victory medal with the soldiers name and unit on the edge, complete with an original ribbon. Named on the edge to 1031289 J. MINSHALL. 42-CAN INF. Research shows Private Joseph Minshall was wounded on the morning of 29 September 1918, during an attack on Cambrai. He died later that day at Casualty Clearing Station No. 22, and is buried at Bucquoy Road British Cemetery, grave 58, plot 4, row B.
