Original era manufacture. Silver British WWI War Medal, named on the edge to 228855 PTE F.L.Tank 42-CAN. INF. Do a google search for 228855 tank attestation, and the Canadian Great War Project site will come up, click on the link, then scroll down to download his information. Francis Lawrence Tank, born in 1897 in the Channel Islands, he received a GSW to the right chest, which resulted in a Medical Discharge in August 1918. There is an amazing amount of information in this download regarding his service history and personal information. The edge markings are clear, good detail remains on the medal, no ribbon.
