Original era manufacture. WWI Victory and silver War Medal, each named to 9729 SJT A. J. Briscoe, R. Scots. Short ribbon on the Victory Medal.Alfred John Briscoe joined the Royal Scots in 1906, and was Killed in Action, July 22nd 1918. He is buried at the Roperie British Cemetery in Villemontoire France. The Royal Scots were the most senior regiment in the British Army, once known as the Royal Regiment of Foot, raised in 1633.
