Original era manufacture. Heavy polished steel blade with markings on one side of the blade, which looks to read, Tempere India.The blade measures 12 inches in length, with a bright finish to the blade surface. Sound carved horn grips secured with two steel rivets, and an oval brass pommel plate.Very nice, black leather covered wooden scabbard, not a tourist example by any means, a very well made, serviceable knife.Classic hand weapon of the fearsome Nepalese Gurkha soldiers.
