Original era manufacture. Heavy polished steel blade with Broad Arrow markings on one side of the blade.The blade measures 11 inches in length, with a bright finish to the blade surface, showing scattered areas of staining and light surface corrosion. Sound carved wood grips with original finish, again Broad Arrow & WD marked, dated 1942. Age crack on one side, nickeled brass pommel cap. Black leather covered wooden scabbard body, not a tourist example by any means, with a removable khaki cover. Includes two removable smaller knives; stout leather carrying straps. Classic hand weapon of the fearsome Nepalese Gurkha soldiers.
