Original era manufacture. A near new condition example with a darkened brass, bead and rib design to the grip. A broad arrow, over the number 1 is stamped into one side of the grip. Simple, oval shaped blue steel guard bearing the ENGLAND export stamp. There is evidence of pitting marks in the steel, but I feel this was present when the guard was made, as there is zero evidence of corrosion damage visible anywhere on the knife. The blade is near perfect blue, a needle-sharp point and original cross grain polish to the steel. There is still old grease remaining on the surface, we have not made any attempt to clean it. Standard brown leather scabbard with two horizontal stitch-tabs, and a darkened brass chape which is secured by a single rivet on the reverse. Intact and pliable elastic pommel strap, ENGLAND export stamp on the top of the scabbard.
