Original era manufacture. Last pattern commando knife with the cast, copper hued alloy ribbed grip. Mix of blue and steel patina finish to the blade, with a small amount of staining from surface corrosion. England marked on the guard, with the blade measuring just under 6.75 inches in length.There is a number 3 cast into the pommel, and a number 1 stamped into the bottom of the grip at the guard.Standard brown leather sheath in basically sound condition, the elasticized cloth strap is missing, the copper chape is dented, overall the knife presents itself as one which didn't sit on a supply-room shelf. Someone used this knife, perhaps while in harm's way.
