Original era manufacture. Bright finished 12 inch blade, with a false edge at the tip. R.F.I. (Rifle Factory Ishapore) marked on the ricasso.Thick wooden slab-like grip plates, with a black painted guard, tang and pommel.. The pommel has a period applied number 172 in white paint.Leather bodied scabbard with black painted chape and scabbard throat, which also displays the number 172.Normal age and wear overall.
