Original era manufacture. Heavy polished steel blade with markings on one side of the blade, Pioneer Calcutta.The blade measures 13 inches in length, with a bright finish to the blade surface. Sound wooden grips secured with two steel rivets with brass escutcheons, and an oval steel pommel plate.Very nice, leather covered wooden scabbard, which displays aBroad Arrow proof, and 1944 date at itsthroat.Classic hand weapon of the fearsome Nepalese Gurkha soldiers.
