Original era manufacture. The blade measures 15 inches in length with most of the protective black paint finish removed. No corrosion issues, with a factory cutting edge. Brown composition grips secured with five steel rivets. Maker marked and dated, S&J Kitchin Ltd, Sheffield 1943.Molded leather scabbard body with a rawhide reinforced throat with copper rivet reinforcement. Brown leather belt loop with pommel straps. The pommel straps have stiffened some from age, no dry rot, but I did not want to force them to close up.
