Original era manufacture.The blade measures 12.75 inches with aparkerized finish, which is maker marked, Jos Beal & Sons 1942. Dark brown composition grips which are secured with five copper rivets.Molded scabbard body with a dark green painted finish, and a rawhide reinforced throat with copper rivet reinforcement. Brown leather belt loop with an intact pommel strap. The reverse of the belt loop is Broad Arrow proofed and dated 1943.Overall, I would say that this set has never seen a lot of service use, although the bottom of the scabbard has a crack in its surface, but no real wear.
