Original era manufacture. Standard pattern 07 bayonet. The blade, guard and pommel show evidence of an extensive cleaning, none of the original finish remains. Numerous issue markings on the ricasso, with a 12-15 date, and Sanderson makers name. The original wood grips display considerable wear and denting, but they are not cracked or chipped.Sound leather bodied scabbard with traces of the original finish remaining on the throat and chape. Canvas WWI pattern frog with a double broad arrow marking on its reverse.
