Original period manufacture. P-1944 Turtle helmet which saw its combat debut during the Normandy invasion of June 1944. Original painted exterior with an elasticized khaki chinstrap and a black oilcloth liner. The helmet shell is dated 1945 and maker marked just below the right side chinstrap loop. The snap-in liner shows wear and tear to its surface and finger edges but is more of less intact. Most often these helmets tend to be post WWII dated. The liner is adjustable, but should fit a size 7.5 head.
