Original era manufacture. A near new condition example retaining nearly 100% of its blue finish to the rope & rib brass grip, guard and blade. The guard displays the typical ENGLAND import proof, and is also a variant as the sides are parallel to one another, with rounded ends, instead of the more common oval guard with tapered ends. One source suggests this might be of Sheffield manufacture. Overall sound brown leather scabbard, with ENGLAND, stamped at the top, the elasticized strap is present. Only comment regarding the scabbard is that the stitching securing the back of the belt loop portion has given way, and will slip off the end of the belt loop.
