Original era manufacture. A very clean condition example of this early pattern F-S commando knife with a two inch, S-shaped guard in nickel finished steel. Matching color knurled grip and pommel, brightly polished 6 3/4 inch blade, with a flattened ricasso on each side, with clear markings to be seen. ENGLAND stamped on the guard.Sound brown leather  scabbard with a matching nickel finish to the alloy chape, with an intact pommel strap with strap closure. The top of the belt loop is ENGLAND stamped, in addition to a series of less prominent markings of B.H.C., 1942, and a Broad Arrow proof. This rare, early pattern knife has been in storage here in the USA since the early 1970's, and exhibits storage wear and grime only.
