Original period manufacture. A well made British knife with itsoriginaleather sheath with pommel strap. The blade measures just over 6.75 inches in length with a very clear makers name Southern & Richardson, Sheffield, England on the reverse of the blade. Simple steel guard, stacked leather grip with black and red spacers with a brass pommel. Very stout and well made leather scabbard. The blade shows evidence of an old cleaning with some light scattered staining but no pitting.
