Original era manufacture. An interesting lot of over 80 items pertaining to the life and service of Field Marshall Sir Claude Auchinleck, spanning a time from 1918 until his passing in 1981. Some of the highlights would be 8 WWI photos taken of British troops in Palestine, some with a penciled identification on their reverse, congratulatory birthday telegram from Queen Elizabeth on his eightieth birthday, several handwritten letters signed by the Field Marshall in his later years, 8th Army Newspaper 1945, period Christmas greetings, a great photo of the FM looking as if he is about to "eat" a Ghurka Officer. This is a large lot of ephemera to a very famous British Field Marshall who served his country for decades. Included is a print-out of a Wikipedia article on Sir Claude giving details on his life and long military career.
