Original era manufacture. Dark brass patina finish trench art hat, made from a 1916 dated 18 pounder shell casing. Soldered to the front is a Canadian Seaforth Highlander badge, with a brass general service button on each side. Fragments of a thin leather chinstrap remain.The primer is missing, and a copper French coin fills the void.
