Original era manufacture. Original era manufacture, blue steel finish with remnants of a thick green paint over the surfaces of the metal portions. Dark maroon colored micarta grips, which are unmarked. The blade is finished bright, with a clipped point, and minimal markings on the ricasso. The scabbard is a cut-down 1907 scabbard, leather bodied with metal fittings but without a frog stud. The bayonet exhibits service wear and use but is not damaged, no corrosion issues, the pivot and lock mechanism work properly.
