Original era manufacture. All steel construction cavalry sabre with a 33.5 inch blade, which runs fairly straight with a slight drift to the left about 8 inches back from the point. Even steel patina finish with a few shallow nail catchers in the cutting edge but no corrosion issues. Chatellarault markings on the spine just above the guard. Chilean crest on the reverse ricasso. Seven branch steel basket guard  and pommel with a molded composition ribbed grip. Correct steel scabbard with a single carrying ring, minor scattered denting along it's length, even steel patina finish with a period patch repair about 8 inches up from the drag. No corrosion issues, except for light staining which can be easily improved on.
