Item #46604 : Original era manufacture. Early 19th century musket bayonet with a 15.5 inch blade, and measuring overall about 20 inches. The rear socket opening measures about 25 mm, and at the muzzle 23 mm.Polished steel blade in sound condition, displaying evidence of an old cleaning, steel patina finish to the socket and locking ring. There are what maybe Nepalese letters or numbers at the muzzle end of the socket.Sound leather bodied scabbard, with the numbers 225 stamped into the opening of the brass throat. The stitching is opening up a bit, but still a solid example.
