Civil War-Indian War-SAW
Toy Soldier, Russian Grenadier, Poltava Rgt 1812, Exquisite Painting

Item #55707 : Original period manufacture. A fairly current painted lead figure, in the form of a Grenadier serving in the Russian Poltava Regiment circa 1812. The overall height including the wooden base is slightly under 5 inches. The soldier is displayed in full marching order and is captured forever in the act of firing his musket. The entire presentation exhibits a high degree artistry, with excellent detail and care taken in the finish. A paper label on the bottom of the base provides description details, along with a date of a completion date of 1990. This indeed was a labor of love, no doubt requiring many hours of time in it's completion. Signed by the artist on the back of the base, Grasse.

Price: $75.00
