Original period manufacture. A Danish made bayonet the blade tang and pommel are one piece of machined steel. Nine inch polished steel blade with WKC makers markings on the ricasso. Sound wood grips which are secured by two brass rivets. The flashguard and pommel show a dark steel patina finsih with numerous markings on the pommel, needs a light bath. The blade is clean, light spotting from age and the tip has a slight bevel to the edge with evidence of an old sharpening about three inches back from the tip. Sound black leather scabbard body with very dark steel scabbard throat and tip.
