Original era manufacture. Double edged steel blade measuring 25 inches in length, it displays matching markings on each side; date of 1782 and assorted letters. It displays wear and use proper for its age.Good quality brass guard, with a leather wrapped grip bound with triple strand wire. The scabbard is a replacement, done in the 1980's according to our seller. Apparently the blades were re-hilted at that time to market them.
