Original era manufacture. Blue finished, partial cruciform blade measuring 14 inches in length, tip slightly blunted. Matching finish to guard and pommel, being a mix of blue and steel patina, with some very light surface corrosion, just needing a light cleaning. Sound wooden grips secured with two steel rivets, light marring and denting from age and handling. Proper leather scabbard with metal ball tip, shows scattered drying and scuffing from age, stitching is intact, old light gray paint finish on the obverse of the scabbard only, looks deliberately done , Navy use? Anyway, sound old bayonet.
