Original era manufacture. Prototypes of this pattern helmet existed during WWII but never adopted by the Wehrmacht. They were later adopted by the East German Army after 1957. Very clean, light surface scratching to the exterior. Complete with liner and chinstrap, size about a 56. I had another look at the interior this morning and found markings of 88 over 65, but no Roman Numeral size marking. The front liner pad stitching is loose.
