Original era manufacture. Cork bodied helmet which is covered in a dark tan, heavy cotton fabric.The interior of the helmet displays a leather sweatband and quilted yellow cotton lining. The only visible markings are on the sweatband; REGD. 689840.The thin leather chinstrap is intact, no denting or crushing to the body of the helmet. Large quantities of captured British military equipment were used by theJapanese after the fall of Hong Kong and Singapore. Purchased with a number of pieces of Japanese headgear.
