European 19th Century Rifleman's Belt

Original era manufacture. Very pliable brown leather belt with an interesting interlocking brass buckle, similar to the French Rifleman's buckle of Napoleon III's Second Empire. Original stamped markings on the exterior of the belt, Crown over A2, followed by 24. At present it is set up to fit a 39 inch waist, with extra leather to adjust it out a bit more if necessary. I have owned this nice old belt for several years, purchasing it from EBAY.DE., never have figured out exactly what it is, but I really like the buckle.
