Original period manufacture. A fine example of this very handsome bayonet. Bright clean blade St.Etienne arsenal markings along with an 1874 date. Polished steel guard bearing the serial number 10799, which matches the number on the scabbard throat. Pleasing, light brass patina to the ribbed grip. Beautiful condition blue steel scabbard, dent-free, with the serial number at the scabbard throat.
